![]() Sega Master System is probably the closest competitor. either, but I think the Switch has the sexiest game cases of any console ever. Switch games mostly don't come with manuals, etc. Which means that 30 years down the line even if the systems are down for updates, you will be able to pop in one of their games and still enjoy them (although now they are supporting a lot of their games with free updates so you won't get those).įor PS4 there's pretty much no point anymore, because usually you just get a Blu-Ray with no manual or art or anything, there's usually enormous day 1 updates that the game is janky as hell without, they often force you to download portions of the game even with the disc version, and the cover art is usually ugly as hell, too. I still think the Switch is worth collecting for, at least first party titles, because Nintendo puts out solid games that work right off the bat - they don't really believe in big day one patches. I was a big collector but have slowed down in recent years. /r/GamePhysics - Clips of game physics shining and glitchingĭesign based on /r/FlatBlue created by /u/creesch./r/gaming4gamers - middle ground between purely-for-fun and more serious subreddits./r/GamingLeaksAndRumours - Leaks and Rumors.Posting unmarked spoilers will result in removal and warning, and posting spoilers with malicious intent will result in a ban.
